Privacy Policy

Effective October 11, 2026. We collect the minimum needed to make and ship your sign, and nothing else.

What we collect, and why

• The words and description you type, and the designs we generate from them, including previews and cutting files. We keep these whether or not you order, because studying which requests turn into good signs is how we improve the service. They're never shown publicly and never tied to your name unless you order. Email us any time to have yours deleted.
• Your email address and name, when you order. Used to confirm your order, tell you when it's accepted, and send tracking. We keep these with your order record.
• Your shipping address and payment details are collected by Stripe on their secure checkout page. We see your shipping address so we can ship the sign; your card number never reaches us.
• Standard server logs, including your IP address and the pages requested, kept for 30 days for security and troubleshooting.

Advertising measurement

We advertise on Google. To learn whether an ad led to an order, the site loads Google's ads tag, which sets a cookie in your browser when you arrive from one of our ads and reports back when you complete a purchase. Google receives the page you visited and a click identifier, not your name, your sign text, or your address. You can block it with any ad blocker or by clearing cookies; the site works the same either way. See how Google uses this data.

What we don't do

No accounts, and no other cookies or analytics trackers. When you press Save for Later, the list of your saved signs is kept in your own browser's storage on your device, not sent to us; clearing your browser data removes it. We don't sell or rent your information to anyone, and we don't send marketing email.

Who else sees your information

• OpenAI receives the words and description you type, to generate the design image and to screen for prohibited content. OpenAI does not use data sent through its API to train its models.
• Stripe processes your payment and holds your card and billing details under Stripe's privacy policy.
• Our fabrication partner in the United States receives your cutting file, your name, and your shipping address, so they can cut and ship the sign.
• Amazon Web Services hosts the site, stores the data above, and delivers our email.

We'll also disclose information if the law requires it.

Your choices

Email help@instantmetalsigns.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We'll do so within 30 days, except for order records we need to keep for tax and accounting purposes. California residents have these rights under state law; we extend them to everyone. We never sell personal information. The Google ads tag described above is the only cross-site measurement we use; block it with an ad blocker or by clearing cookies if you prefer, since we don't act on a browser's Do Not Track signal.

Children

This site is for adults placing orders. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
